Want to go out but not have to go too far for dinner?  A quick drive over to Lonerider Restaurant offers you the chance to experience fresh local seafood and casual waterfront dining on the Intracoastal Waterway.  After dinner, take a quick drive a few minutes further to The Point for a romantic and gorgeous sunset and walk on the beach around the inlet that connects the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean.  This is a local favorite spot, great to enjoy year-round!  You may also catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins swimming by or a formation of pelicans flying overhead calling out to each other as they travel.  So much to explore with shells to search for and little sand creatures native to the Oak Island shoreline.
