Overall

The Sand Dollar was the perfect property for a getaway trip. The whole house is beautifully decorated/maintained, and each bedroom is spacious with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. We loved watching the wildlife out the large kitchen windows overlooking the marsh/creek. Everything was so cozy and enjoyed having the ambiance of the fireplace in the evening. The beach awaits you directly across the street through a special, tree-covered pathway, which leads you to the beautiful beach. The house was in a great location, near all the essentials (restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and local attractions). We will definitely be back to visit and couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else!

Overall

Sand Dollar was exactly as it was represented online. The pool was a great addition to our vacation and the kitchen was very well stocked. The air conditioner worked beautifully for the beach environment! With all of the positives there are some areas of improvements needed for the property.

Staying at this place was a home away from home! I cant express how perfect the house was! The house was decorated so nicely and mademy family and I feel at home. It was great having such close access to the beach and having a pool in the back. It was also located so close to all essentials (grocery stores, restaurants, shopping stores). If I could stay there forever I would because the place had everything from entertainment, fully Fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, enough space for everyone. The perfect place! I will be coming back next year and staying even longer!

Overall

The Sand Dollar is an amazing property, located on 2nd row from the beach. Nice décor throughout, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of windows to enjoy views of the marsh and Elizabeth River. Ocean Views can be seen from the front sunroom and deck. The house is well maintained, with comfortable beds, several TV’s and a variety of games and books selection to keep everyone entertained. There is a large pool, shaded patio, and gas grill, if you need a break from the beach. Access to beach is a very short walk, and so nice to avoid the crowds of public parking lots and public beaches. This is my 3rd year staying at the Sand Dollar, and I will definitely be back!
