We’ve been coming to Oak Island for our family vacation for the past several years, and this is hands down our favorite house we’ve stayed in! We loved that everything is on one level, and there was plenty of room for our family to spread out without feeling crowded. The house was very clean, beautifully updated, and the beds were comfortable. The showers had great water pressure, which was an unexpected bonus! Having a pool, being pet friendly, and being right across the street from the beach made it even better.The location was perfect too. It’s on a quiet street, but you’re still just a short drive from restaurants, shops, and everything else you need. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought and care into this home, and we’re so thankful they share it with other families. We made some wonderful memories here and definitely hope to stay again.

We recently stayed at The Lazy Sea Poney at 200 Ocean Drive, Oak Island, NC, and had a wonderful experience.The home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a private pool, and a beautiful patio with comfortable outdoor furniture and two large shade umbrellas. It's only about 500 feet from the beach, with no busy streets to cross, making it an easy and safe walk for families.The house is pet-friendly, handicap accessible, and has been beautifully remodeled. With over 2,000 square feet of living and deck space, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy our vacation.The neighborhood is friendly and quiet, and the home is so attractive that people often stop to admire it.What impressed us most was the owner's commitment to making sure guests have a great stay. If an issue comes up, they genuinely work hard to resolve it quickly so your vacation can remain relaxing and enjoyable.If you're looking for a spacious, comfortable beach house for a family vacation on Oak Island, we highly recommend The Lazy Sea Poney.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family vacation! The home was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. We truly appreciated the owners opening their home to us and helping create so many special memories.The location was perfect, and we especially loved being able to relax and spend quality time together. We are so grateful for our stay and look forward to returning in the future!!

The Lazy Sea Pony was the perfect getaway for our friend reunion with our kids! There was plenty of space with the bunkbed room for the kids, and the fenced in area is perfect for kids and dogs to be able to play safely. The pool was amazing, and the house is in close walking distance to the beach making setup easier. The shed had plenty of toys, and also a cart with balloon wheels for the sand. It’s handicap (and stroller) friendly! There’s a lot of great food options as well. This was the perfect house for us, and we will absolutely be back!

We have made memories here that will last a lifetime. This house and location is wonderful and so relaxing. Just a short walk to the beach for fun in the sun. The best part is the private pool after a day at the beach. We would head back from beach cook out, swim and enjoy everyone’s company for a relaxing evening. I can’t even imagine a more enjoyable vacation. Coffee on the front porch in the mornings are an absolute plus!!!!

The Lazy Sea Pony had everything we needed for a multi-family beach trip! The ocean was steps away, yet island stores/restaurants/bridge to Southport was a couple min drive away. Due to the neighborhood road layout, there almost zero traffic, and the whole area was quiet/felt safe. The house itself had a fresh remodel and the five bedroom layout was plenty for our needs. Outside, the house was even better. There is a huge yard for this area that’s fenced in keeping pets and kids safe. Another large selling point for us was the in ground pool and deck area. We’ve spent almost double for larger homes that had the same amenities, yet lacked the location advantages of this house. This will be our first choice for our Oak Island stays going forward.
