The home boasts a nice open floor plan overlooking the ocean, with a great room, dining room, and kitchen, so everyone can visit and enjoy being together while taking in spectacular views.  Occasionally, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins swimming by.  The bedrooms are split into 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs, perfect for families wanting space. This home is located just up from the Ocean Crest Pier, so bring your favorite rod and reel, catch dinner for the night, and grill out right at the home.  The pier is a great spot to walk and see what's being caught, and it's just a short stroll down the beach.  While on Oak Island, visit the Oak Island Lighthouse and drive through the Civil War Fort at Caswell.  If golf is on your mind, there is an excellent course on the island at Oak Island Golf Course, also in Caswell.  There are plenty of nearby golf courses in Brunswick County, so you can play a different one daily.  Oak Island is minutes from historic Southport, where you will find plenty of unique shops, restaurants, ice cream, history, and more.  If you want to take day trips to Myrtle Beach or Wilmington while you are here, they are only a short drive away.  Breakwaters has everything you will need or want, from necessities to fun!  You are sure to want to make this your home away from home year after year!
